Ferð’s Favourite Scarf
Product Story
This is Ferð’s Favourite Scarf. Inspired by the extraordinary migration of the Arctic Tern - CitizenEarth’s symbolic bird, Ferð - this scarf captures movement across the polar world through layers of icy landscapes, drifting oceans, glaciers, and snow-covered mountain ranges. Each year, the Arctic Tern journeys between the North and South Poles, tracing one of the longest migrations on Earth across shifting skies, frozen waters, and remote horizons.
The artwork unfolds through soft watercolour halos of white and polar blue, creating an atmospheric landscape where ice, sky, and ocean dissolve into one another. Arctic terns glide across glaciers, ice shelves, and mountain peaks almost like fleeting silhouettes carried through the stillness of the poles. The layered washes and fluid tonal transitions mirror the feeling of movement without boundaries - where migration, light, and landscape exist in continuous flow.
Crafted in bamboo satin weave, the scarf carries a natural luminous finish, exceptionally smooth hand-feel, and fluid drape that enhances the softness and movement within the artwork itself. Ethereal yet grounded in real polar journeys, the piece reflects the grace, freedom, and interconnectedness of the polar world.
